longcase clock, signed D Basselier à Bruxelles..
8-day movement with countwheel strike on a vertical bell,
brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered
chapter ring. Subsidiary silvered seconds chapter ring
and apertures for the dates.

Belgian polychrome-painted longcase clock
signed Botÿ à Liège, circa 1760.
8-day movement with anchor recoil escapement
and rack strike on two bells, in the Dutch fashion.
The main barrels and the escape wheel mounted
on removable bronze bushes, the whole strike
mechanism mounted behind a third finely decorated
skeletonised plate.
Finely engraved brass dial of exceptional quality,
with pewter chapter ring, spandrels and other
accessories. Calendar aperture, seconds dial,
moonphase and moon calendar.
