Small and unusual capucine, circa 1830, with time and strike,
Very likely a masterpiece
Movement with dual purpose (time and strike) single barrel
of long duration (20 days) and extremely unusual very small
countwheel for the strike, signed Pierre Dechevrand à
Valenciennes.
Small enamel dial with arabic numerals and
blued steel hands.
Well-designed case with machined decorations all round,
silvered bell on top.

Small Consulate-period (circa 1800) travelling clock,
signed ENGAZ à PARIS. (Rue Helvétius, 1800-1810,
then Rue Sainte-Anne, 1820. ref Tardy, Dictionnaire
des Horlogers Français). Polished brass case with
ormolu decorations (feet, finials, bezel, handle
and hands). Enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic
on the quarters, finely cut ormolu hands, the alarm
set by a blued steel hand and armed by a pull-wind,
striking on a silvered bell above.
Recoil anchor escapement with silk suspension,
beautifully made hammer and blued steel ratchet wheel.
Autonomy 2 weeks.
Height 21cm handle up.

enamel dial with Roman numerals, with subsidiary
for alarm and Arabic numerals, in a Gorge case.
Movement made and signed
L LEROY & Cie, 7 Bd DE LA MADELEINE, PARIS.
Swiss lever silvered platform escapement with bi-metallic balance,
alarm and strikes on two gongs, trip repeating grande sonnerie
striking with lever for grande sonnerie/silence/petite sonnerie
at the bottom. Maltese crosses fitted on movement side
barrel, autonomy 1 week.
Along with a leather case and double-ended key.
Dimensions: 7cm x 6cm x 13cm  handle raised.

columns with foliate decoration, rich moulding and fluted
block feet, the signed white enamel dial with Roman and
Arabic numerals and blued steel moon hands to the twin
barrel gong-striking movement with silvered
lever platform escapement with bi-metallic cut balance wheel.
