with gilt bronzework of exquisite quality, signed Gribelin à Paris.
Four-armed and one-pillar console, decorated with a smiling head
of Apollo, with a flowery tiled ceiling, and a grenade on the lower end.
Lozenge-shaped case with ormolu bronzework, a dove taking off on the lower
front, and on top a young boy with a ball, sitting on a goat.
Ormolu dial with twelve enamel cartouches with dark blue Roman
numerals for the hours, blued steel hands.
Movement with 15 days duration, with half-hourly countwheel strike
on a bronze bell situated under the hood.
Early anchor recoil escapement on 4 1/2 teeth, silk suspension.
